Dr. Holly
RichardsTherapeutic Optometrist, Optometric Glaucoma Specialist
Dr. Holly Richards is a native Texan and has been a practicing optometrist since 2006. She is passionate about eye care and has been practicing in Austin, Texas for over 15 years.
Dr. Richards completed her undergraduate degree at The University of Texas at Dallas in 2002. She received her Doctorate of Optometry in 2006 from the University of Houston College of Optometry where she was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society.
Dr. Richards is licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. She is a member of the Central Texas Optometric Society, the Texas Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association.
When not serving her patients, Dr. Richards enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle, traveling, and spending time with her husband and their 2 young children.

Dr. Clay
BarnettOwner, Optometrist
Dr. Barnett is a native of Burnet, TX and graduated from Burnet High School. He currently resides in Austin, TX.
A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Barnett received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology as well as the Business Foundation degree from the Red McCombs School of Business. He received his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry where he was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa honors society.
Dr. Barnett is certified as an optometric glaucoma specialist and therapeutic optometrist. He was a member of the Sports and Visual Performance Clinic in Houston, Texas where he worked hands on with the University of Houston Softball team and the Houston Astros before returning to Austin.
During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Anna, their three kids John, William, and Evelyn. Dr. Barnett enjoys going to UT sporting events, playing golf and spending time on the lake.
Dr. Barnett is a proud member of the Four Points Chamber of Commerce, Central Texas Optometric Society, Texas Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association.

Nyssa is a native of Edinburg, TX and graduated from Edinburg High School. She then made Austin her home after graduating from Texas Culinary Academy with a Certificate in Patisserie and Baking.
Nyssa joined the Steiner Eye Care family in December 2015 as a technician is our contact lens specialist. She performs pre-testing, contact lens training, and frame styling. With over 10 years of customer service, Nyssa enjoys getting to know each patient personally. She takes pride in providing the patient with the clearest vision possible, in today’s most fashionable eyewear styles.

Our optician, Lesley, was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland and moved to Austin with her family in 1998.
Her keen eye for style and design, combined with over 30 years in sales and marketing, ensure that our optical department stays up to date with the latest designs in eyewear, as well as more traditional, timeless styles. The latest technology in lenses and coatings are available, and they can be tailored to your specific needs. Lesley passionately strives to ensure that our patients enjoy their experience with us, that their glasses provide the clearest vision possible, and frame choices reflect the personality and style of each patient.

Gloria, a native of California, joined Steiner Eye Care in 2019 as our patient care coordinator. Six years of customer service in the medical field help ensure that your visit with us goes smoothly, and that your insurance benefits are ready for your visits – we all hate surprises! Gloria’s calm, unflappable manner makes her a valued member of the Steiner Eye Care team.
In her free time she enjoys exploring with Koala, her Australian Shepherd, and traveling to music festivals all around the USA.

Erika is from Austin and attended Lake Eri College and Lakeland CC in Ohio. She is a certified medical assistant and graduated with honors. She did her internship at Kelsey Seybold in Houston. She has worked as an optometric technician for over 17 years. She really enjoys all the patient interaction.
She likes to spend her free time with her kids, playing tennis, working out, and going to baseball games.

Connie originally comes from Fargo, ND, and has lived in Austin since 1996. She is our insurance and billing specialist, with over 13 years experience in the eye care industry. Connie is an expert with insurance benefits, how best to apply them to your visit with us, and is available to answer any benefit questions you may have. Connie’s background in engineering lends itself to her current position where attention to detail is key.
Connie has three grown children, enjoys wood working in her spare time, and spending time at her ranch in Fredonia.

Kayley was born in Southern California and moved to Austin in 2013. She has several years of customer service experience and loves helping our patients pick out the eyewear that fits their style and lenes that will benefit them the most. She also enjoys edging many of our lenses in-house, ensuring that patients get their glasses very quickly (sometimes the same day!).
In her free time, Kayley enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and their pets, Lemon and Milo. She also loves being around family, specifically her parents and three younger sisters who live in the Austin area.
